Description This Australian-bred, mid to late-maturing diploid annual ryegrass is suited to a broad range of environments and systems. Bred for its high seedling vigor, it has excellent production through winter and a high tiller density. Tasmanian bred focusing on density and rust resistance as well as yield, Epic ryegrass is proving to be a durable performer. Epic may provide additional value over tetraploids where periods of dry and harder grazing are more likely. Fine leaves and stems provide higher quality feed, ideally mixed with a tetraploid ryegrass to give additional bulk through winter.
